神聖ローマ皇帝マクシミリアン�鏡い�ら絶大な信頼を受けていた臣下ヤコブス・ファートや貴族として認められたラッススなど、同皇帝に仕えた音楽家たちによる宮廷音楽を存分に堪能出来るハイペリオンの意欲があふれる好企画。5人音楽家によって2004年10月にウィーンで結成された「チンクエチェント」は、16世紀の合唱作品を主なレパートリーする新進気鋭の男声ヴォーカル・アンサンブル。今回のリリースがデビュー盤であり今後の活躍が嘱望されている。
