パーセル・クヮルテットを中心とする名アーティストによる“バッハのルター 派ミサ”シリーズ第１弾。 このＣＤは昨年のウィグモアホールで大成功を収めたコンサートの後に録音さ れた。（この時のコンサート・プログラムはバッハの＜ルター派ミサ＞と＜チェ ンバロ協奏曲＞） くルター派ミサ＞と呼ばれるミサ曲（ＢＷＶ．２３３‐２３６）はバッハがライプッィヒで １７３７年頃に作ったもので１部分または全曲がカンタータからの転用による。
